I also think the perpose most students in China learn English is wrong . We learn English just for the exam , but some one said laugrage is used to communicate with each other .
I am not good at English , too.

the subject of human destiny or the future of the world always seems to be so difficult for me to answer.maybe we are raised up in different cultural or social background,our point of view towards life somewhat differs.in the west,take france for example,it is a melting pot of cultures.there the ideas differ and conflict,no authority is accepted,no direction is welcomed.the occidental adolescents are always lost in confusion.their condition is like what Satre says;'the god has left us,and we are completely free to choose our life.'freedom is good but excess of freedom is laxisme,like ship without helm.the west is undergoing the deterioration in almost every aspect.consequently most of people in the west is quite indignant and pessimistic.so for your question,i only have one answer:the most fortunate person is those who have belief.if you think the world worthy of living and worthy of protection,then the world is beautiful to you.

I agree with your answer .

1.I know the story you mentioned in Bible.It is GOD who decides that people should have different languages that thay can not communicate with each other to build the Tower getting to the place GOD living in.GOD himself is not so kind,isn't he? 
2.As I am a student majored in philosophy,I agree the opinion that Language is not only a tool for communicating but life itself.Well,philosophy of language or hermenutics is really more complicated than I think.
3.Subaru is not real in the world we live,but in the big world including our minds.Please do not complain about reality because people we love live in this world.Or as the grate philosophor ,Leibniz,once said :it is the best world of all possible worlds.Well,many people do not agree with his opinion.

Everything depends on the attitude you take.
If you take a friendly and tolerant attitude you will see the lovely aspect of the world you will find even a flower embraces the heaven.
But if you take a negative attitude to the world you are always intend to find the gray aspects and find the world you live in miserable.

as for the problem of language,i have more to say.as the developpement of the study of lingustics and philosophy,language has already exceeded a tool of communication itself.in literature,it is also life itself.according to the theory of Derrida,language partly becomes equivalent of symbol,it is the greatest subject of semotics.i don't know whether i should agree or not with Samuel Beckette,anyhow at least in present days,i find language as a mediateur of thoughts or ideas is no longer capable of delivering correctly what we wanna say.even sometimes,language can affect the pattern we think,in another word,if we wanna be unbiased,we should abandon our language first.am i justified?!

Oh,really?You majored in philosophy? I am interested in ethics and Kant,Hegel,also Marxism(it might be that categorizing of philosofhy in China's universities is different of yours).Then what about you?

well,i like contemporary french philosophy,especially,that of paul ricoeur,sassure,derrida,and foucault!as school of philosophy i like deconstructionisme and semotics.but nietzsche is one of my favourite who is not a contemporary philosopher,besides i also like theology.
