Metaphor in Sonnet 116:

An ever-fixed mark which is never shaken in tempests.

The speaker considers true love as a kind of eternal power. Even though surroundings become dangerous and dark, the true love would still be the brightest star in the tempests. The true love is unbreakable.

Sonnet 130
Shakespeare shows a different opinion of beauty of lover. The speaker doesn't pay much attention to his lover's outward beauty. In real life, there is no woman who looks like a goddess written in many poems. The speaker tells readers about his lover's unique qualities but not her appearance. The speaker wants her to be a special one to him. He loses his heart to her because she can be herself and present her internal beauty.
Some people only look at the physical beauty and judge people by appearance. In modern society, too many people still very material. There are few differences between 16th century and 21st century.
The message sent by the sonnet is "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", which means that different people would care about different things.

Sonnet 29
The speaker complains his miserable life because he has no money, no friends and no material success. He compares himself with three different lives in a negative attitude. He complains everything, and he almost loses all hopes. He is self-loathing and introspective. However, when the speaker thinks of his girlfriend, his mood changes completely. His love cheers him up and he throws himself into the happiness and love.
The final couplet shows the contrast between the two kinds of life above. In the speaker's opinion, even though he could have a luxurious life, he wouldn't accept it without the love. The speaker doesn't admire those people who have money and friends but without a lover.
The sonnet creates a balance between a miserable life and love. Love is so important for the speaker that can change all the difficulties in his stressed-out life.

Sonnet 73
There are three meaningful matephors in this sonnet that are an old tree, twilight and fire ashes. All the metaphors suggest that the speaker is getting older and older. The theme of this sonnet is friendship. The speaker appreciates the unbreakable relationship between his friend and him. He thinks that the end of their friendship is only the death. The more time they spend together, the more pain they would feel when one of them passes away. Although the speaker is not young any more, his friend still accompanies him. They spend a long time with each other, and they have strong feelings to each other. He cherishes the sincere love. 
The tone of this sonnet is sad and sentimental. The metaphors that the speaker uses are gloomy and depressed. He points out that the time belongs to him is little, and he is apprehensive that he would lose his friend sooner or later.
